Services :: Microfilming

DocuManagement provides a full microfilming bureau service. Virtually any type of document or drawing can be microfilmed using our planetary or rotary cameras. As a professional bureau with 30 years' microfilming experience the resultant microfilm is of very high quality and conforms with British Standards.

Microfilm formats supported include the following as silver masters and diazo copy:

16mm roll film,
16mm jackets,
microfiche,
35mm roll film
35mm aperture cards

For customers who do not wish to own microfilm readers and printers we can host the microfilms and provide a retrieval service by fax/post/email.

We sell a range of microfilm retrieval equipment from simple fiche readers to the latest multi-format reader-printers.

For customers who already have documents on microfilm but want to step up to a higher level of retrieval, we can scan from microfilm using our top-of-the-range Sunrise scanners. This produces digital images that are comparable with the paper equivalent.

Some of our customers have bound books which cannot be split apart. Flatbed scanning is just not a good option. Our method is to microfilm the books on dedicated 35mm book cameras and scan from film on our Sunrises. This gives the best quality image plus a microfilm backup.
